MIAMI — He's the man architecture critics love to hate: Andrés Duany, charismatic prophet of the New Urbanism, with his nostalgic prescriptions for dense, walkable neighborhoods energized by stores, mass transit and traditional housing....
"This 2006 report provides estimates of repopulation rates and of population numbers in New Orleans for "the immediate future (the next three to six months) and the near-term future (the next one to three years) to guide the redevelopment planning process." While many businesses were in the path of these storms, some were affected and others were not. Knowing where affected businesses are concentrated can guide efforts by Federal, State, and local agencies, service organizations, and entrepreneurs to respond to the storms and rebuild the economies of these areas.
